Relaxing tea time – with penguins.

お茶を淹れたポットがそのままカップとして使える、ティーポット＆カップをデザインしました。柔らかな裾広がりのフォルムは、心地よい温もり感を演出。カップの口径は上部に向かって狭くなっているのでお茶も冷めにくく安定感をキープ。カップの中に見えるストレイナーは蓋と一体感を持たせ、デザインのアクセントにしました。上部の蓋は裏返せば、お茶を飲む際のストレイナー置きとしても機能します。愛着のあるペンギンのような佇まいから「Pengy / ペンギー」と名付けました。

We designed a teapot in which you can brew your tea then drink it directly – a teapot and cup in one. The soft, sweeping form with its widening toward the base is designed to create a warm, cozy feel. And narrowing toward the top keeps Pengy stable and the tea from getting cold. The strainer, visible inside the cup, is integrated with the lid to accentuate the design. And if you flip the top lid over, it can also function as a strainer rest while you’re drinking your tea. The name Pengy was inspired by its penguin-like appearance: Pengy looks like a penguin, and we love penguins.
