アーティスト・高橋幸宏氏のソロ活動40周年を記念して創作した器。多岐に渡る活動の歴史とこれからの挑戦を、器のデザインに凝縮しました。アナログとデジタル、東洋と西洋、高橋幸宏氏のボーダレスな表現にふさわしく、器の用途もお酒・お茶の器・小鉢・小物入れとしてなど、制限はありません。8角形の高台と半球体から成る、アール・デコを彷彿とさせる建築的なフォルム。「セラミック・ジャパン」との度重なる施策を経て、その精度を追求していきました。高台の４面それぞれに10本のラインを印刷、合計40本のラインで活動40周年を示し、未来へ拡がっていくさらなる可能性を美しい半球体で表現しました。

Japanese style cups commemorating the 40th anniversary of musician Yukihiro Takahashi’s solo career. The history of his diverse career and a glimpse of his future goals are condensed into the design of these multi-use vessels.
Analog and digital, East and West – as borderless as Yukihiro Takahashi’s musical expression, the uses of this commemorative cup are unlimited. Use it as a tea-cup or tumbler, a bowl or decorative holder.
A tall octagonal base and spherical basin create an elegant architectural form with distinct Art Deco flair. With time-tested guidance from ceramic japan, we pursued absolute precision in our design. On the base, ten lines are printed onto four of the sides – forty lines for forty amazing years of his career. An elegant half-sphere forms the basin, expressing even the greater possibilities that the future holds.
